These terms set out what you can expect from Poppy AI, what we expect from you, and the rules that keep the companion chat safe for everyone.

1. Agreement to these terms
By opening poppyai.net or creating an account you accept these terms in full. If any part is unacceptable to you, please stop using Poppy AI.
2. Eligibility
Membership is limited to individuals aged 18 or over who have the legal capacity to enter a contract in their country of residence.
3. What Poppy AI provides
Poppy AI supplies fictional conversational companions for entertainment. Companions are software characters, not real people, and they do not represent any living individual.
4. Nature of the companions
Names, biographies, voices and photographs used across Poppy AI are invented and generated. Any resemblance to a real person is unintentional.
5. Account registration
You must provide a valid email address and keep your details current. One person may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
6. Account security
You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Free tier
The free tier of Poppy AI includes a daily message allowance which may be adjusted as capacity changes. No payment details are required to use it.
8. Paid subscriptions
Paid plans unlock unlimited messaging and additional features. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include applicable taxes where required.
9. Billing cycle
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file, until you cancel.
10. Cancellation
You can cancel from your account settings at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the paid period ends.
11. Refunds
Unused subscription time is refundable within 14 days of the first purchase. Renewal charges are refundable only where consumer law in your jurisdiction requires it.
12. Price changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price until the next renewal after that notice period.
13. Acceptable use
Use Poppy AI for personal entertainment only. Do not use it for harassment, fraud, spam, unlawful activity or to distress other members or staff.
14. Prohibited content
Requests involving minors, non-consensual acts, real identifiable people, extreme violence, weapons, drugs or illegal services are strictly forbidden and are enforced automatically.
15. Consequences of violation
We may suspend or terminate an account for a violation without refund, and serious cases are reported to the relevant authorities.
16. Automation and scraping
Bots, scrapers, resale of access, credential sharing and any attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts are not permitted.
17. Your content
You keep ownership of the text you write. You grant Poppy AI a limited licence to process, store and transmit it purely to operate the service for you.
18. Our content
The Poppy AI name, logo, interface, imagery, copy and code are protected and may not be reproduced or adapted without written permission.
19. Generated output
Output produced during your chats may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes. Similar output can be produced for other members, so it is not exclusive to you.
20. Service availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates and third-party outages can cause downtime.
21. Changes to the service
Features may be added, altered or withdrawn as Poppy AI develops. Where a change removes a significant paid feature we will give reasonable notice.
22. No professional advice
Nothing generated by a companion is medical, legal, psychological or financial advice. In an emergency contact the appropriate local service immediately.
23. Wellbeing notice
Poppy AI is entertainment and is not a substitute for human relationships or professional care. Please take breaks and seek real support when you need it.
24. Third-party services
Payments, email and hosting are handled by third parties whose own terms apply to the portions of the experience they deliver.
25. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is supplied on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
26. Limitation of liability
Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to Poppy AI in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
27. Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable losses we incur because you used the service unlawfully or in breach of these terms.
28. Suspension and termination
Either side may end this agreement at any time. We will normally warn you first unless the breach makes an immediate closure necessary.
29. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, and we ask you to raise any dispute with support before starting formal proceedings.
30. Updates to these terms
Revised terms are posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Poppy AI after that date means you accept the update. Questions go to legal@poppyai.net.
